goghfurther, run by Katie Blundell, is a space for artists to commune together. We try to focus on supoort in a multitude of ways. The major ones being skill-level and accommodating for disability. Our content is split into three sections but feel free to tap into each of them. The thought behind the “enthusiast” is someone who is starting their creative practice. They may be lost on where to start or see peer’s work that seems out of reach. The “artisan” is someone who is active in the arts in some way. This section is meant to provide community. Elements like feedback on work and encouragement for the creative lifestyle. The “lineage” are for kids and their parents. This section is to encourage the future generation and provide parents with rescources to help their creative child.

Katie Blundell is an artist based out of the Greater Boston, MA area. She has always been an artist. A big influence is her family. Parents who allowed her to try things. Crafty aunts who made things fun with simple gestures.
Another influence is growing up at a daycare/camp where the arts were encouraged. She would try new mediums and learn technique that still helps her today. As she got older, she latched on being proud that she was an “art kid”, not sacrificing what she liked. This was challenged as she entered the end of her teens and into her 20’s. It made her question what being successful as a artist looked like. With this experience and feeling supported again, she is reinvigorated to learn alongside others to make the arts a comfortable place to be.
